Hervé Azemtsa is a Cameroonian social entrepreneur with a background in Mechanical Engineering (Machine Design) from the Netherlands and an MBA in International Resource and Environmental Management from Germany, where his thesis focused on attracting foreign direct investment to Africa. After gaining experience in international trade of metals and rare earths, Hervé co-founded S2 Services Sarl, an environmental services company dedicated to sustainable development in Africa.

In 2010, Hervé returned to Douala, Cameroon, to further contribute to sustainable solutions across the continent. His passion for renewable energy led him to become an active member of the African Renewable Energy Alliance (AREA), where he promotes the integration of renewable energy in Africa’s energy mix.

Hervé has been a trainer with the Institute of La Francophonie for Sustainable Development (IFDD) since 2011, specializing in Energy and Climate, Energy Transition, and Clean Energy Financing in sub-Saharan Africa. He has also been a frequent panelist at global conferences hosted by institutions such as UNECA, UN-Habitat, and AREA, and contributed to key initiatives on sustainable energy planning and financing.

From his base in Douala, Hervé consults for organizations and governments on project development and finance across several African countries. He has helped secure over €100 million in funding from international partners for projects across the continent.
